Josh Grover MA, LMHC, Q.S. - Owner

Sometimes in life we find ourselves in painful, even dark places. It is in these times that we are presented with a choice: we can truly recover the lost parts of ourselves and heal if we are willing to walk through the pain with a trusted counselor -or-  we can avoid the darkness and pain, and lose the wonderful opportunity to heal and emerge with more strength and beauty than before.  It is my honor to walk with my clients through confusion and pain to find hope and healing again.

After receiving my Masters Degree in Counseling in 2007, I began working in the counseling field.  I’ve held positions at Orlando Health as a trauma expert and I was the director of counseling services at a local college. I’ve now found my sweet spot in private practice where I get to work toward the healing of relationships and individuals. I feel deeply called to help people who have been hurt by life circumstances such as trauma, divorce, infidelity, abuse, addiction, depression and relationship struggles (to name a few).  Over the years I’ve used a variety of therapeutic techniques tailored to suit my clients, including: Internal Family Systems, Object Relations, Gestalt and TF-CBT. My specialty is marriage counseling. I am a certified Gottman Marriage therapist and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist (EFT). Both of these approaches help inform my work with married couples.

I would be honored to work with you and your family!

It is often said that life is a journey in which you experience "ups and downs". Unfortunately for many who experience a “down” time, there are difficulties overcoming barriers when trying to go back "up" again. I want to meet you where you are when you are overwhelmed by those barriers. I want to walk with you and work with you toward an improved quality of life while helping you arm yourself with the necessary tools to navigate through any future barriers.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW - LMSW-C) with over 25 years of experience in psychotherapy. I have spent my career working in three areas: Medical Social Work, Educational Social Work and Psychotherapy. I am also a former school administrator in both the public and private sectors in two states. For ten years I was the Behavioral Health Services Director at a well known medical clinic in Orlando.

Some, but not all the areas I have extensive experience in are:

  • anxiety

  • self-esteem issues

  • trauma (PTSD)

  • depression

  • grief

  • young adults on the autism spectrum

  • intimacy & sexual issues

  • sexual abuse survivor issues

  • life & career transition issues

  • LBGTQ issues

  • crisis of faith issues.

I use a Person Centered Approach. I want to guide you as you travel the journey toward a better place in life while utilizing my training in an area that best matches you as a person. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client Focused Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Emotional Focused Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I want to get to know you well, so that together we can approach your barriers and navigate toward a positive outcome. I always consider it a privilege to work with each individual who entrusts me as their therapist.

Sonya Silva MA, RMHCI

Change is possible and I’ve seen it firsthand in my own life, including in my marriage, through the help of counseling. I bring that same hope into the work I do with clients, offering a safe, non-judgmental space to begin the journey toward better mental health.

I take an integrative, evidence-based approach to therapy, drawing primarily from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which supports individuals and couples in building stronger emotional bonds and healthier patterns of connection. I also incorporate insights from Polyvagal Theory to help clients better understand their nervous system responses and engage the vagus nerve in fostering greater emotional regulation and resilience. Each session is thoughtfully tailored to meet you where you are, whether you're a teen navigating identity and stress, an adult managing life’s transitions, or a couple working to repair and deepen your relationship. In addition, I am a certified facilitator for the Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts(SYMBIS) assessment, offering pre-marital counseling and couples a structured path toward lasting partnership. I work with adults and couples of all ages facing a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, relationship distress, grief and loss, trauma, and adjustment-related challenges.

As a military wife of many years, I understand the emotional toll of frequent moves, constant change, and uncertainty. I also homeschooled my four children, who are now grown with families of their own. These experiences give me a deep understanding of family dynamics and resilience.

Anxiety or sadness is something many people experience, and it can be a normal part of life. But when it starts interfering with your daily functioning or peace of mind, it’s time to reach out. I’m here to provide support and walk with you through those challenges. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to begin, I offer a supportive space to explore your next steps. You're not alone and you don't have to do it all on your own.
